This Pre-Columbian Chavín Marañón pottery drummer figure is a remarkable ceramic artifact, dating to the Early Horizon period (900–200 BCE). It portrays a seated humanoid figure playing a drum, a symbolic representation of music's importance in ceremonial and ritual contexts. The figure exhibits a rounded body and stylized features, including a prominent nose, almond-shaped eyes, and a serene expression, characteristic of Chavín artistic conventions.
