Pre-Columbian Ixtlan del Rio Conjoined figures from West Mexico, ca. 100 BCE. - 250 CE. Large hollow pottery male and female figures, joined at the hips. The male is seated crossed legged, wearing a loin cloth, headdress, nos, ear ornaments and holding a rattle. Female wears a full length skirt, head band, nose and ear ornaments, she is holding a pot. Both with painted geometric decorations. Manganese deposits throught. A rare example! TL tested will accompany the pair.

Male has head and arm reattached with breaklines visible. Two small pieces missing from the ear ornament of the male otherwise intact.
