Large Pre-Columbian Colima Tlaloc Warrior Brazier from West Coast of Mexico, ca. 900 -1200 CE. El Chanel large reddish-brown pottery incensario, with a warrior standing in front of a cylindrical brazier depicting the rain god Tlaloc. The warrior holds a knife and shield. Overall scattered areas of cream slip and mineral deposits. Warrior's right leg, left arm and left foot reattached with break lines visible. A few small reattached pieces, headdress feather and knife are restored. 17-3/4" in height x 10-3/4" in length.
