Pre-Columbian Chorrera Whistiling Vessel from Ecuador, ca. 500 BCE. Terracotta rectangular double lobed vessel with a bridge handle between the lobes. A diminutive seated figure playing a pan flute. The body of the vessel is also a whistle. 12 1/8" in length x 8" in height. Repaired from several pieces with break lines visible. Root marks on the surface attesting to its age.
