Pre-Columbian Colima Dog Pottery Whistle from Mexico, ca. 300 BCE-300 CE. A pottery whistle in the form of a cute little seated dog. The whistle still works by blowing into its mouth. 2 1/2" in length x 2" in height. Small chip on one ear from antiquity, hardly noticeable otherwise intact and excellent condition. Manganese deposits all over the surface attesting to its age.
