A pair of Pre-Columbian Jalisco seated figures from West Mexico, ca. 100 BCE. - 250 CE. Consisting of two seated pottery figures in white paint with red details and black painted tattoos. Both with traces of manganese deposits on the surface attesting to their age. male has chip of foot missing and head reattached with break lines visible. Female has right breast reattached with break lines visible otherwise pretty excellent condition. 6-3/8" male, in height. 5-7/8" in height, female. Private Princeton, New Jersey collection.
