A Pre-Columbian Quimbaya Pottery figure from Colombia ca. 1000-1400 CE. Slab figure with one arm on its legs and the other held upwards, square head, slit eyes. Face flattened and rectangular, slightly upturned with slits for eyes and mouth with a prominent, bulbous nose with open nostrils which would have held a gold nose ring. The grooves around ankles, wrists and shoulders may also be evidence for missing gold bands. Choice condition! 8" in height.
