Ancient Canosan Terracotta Bed Figure Rattle
A terracotta rattle modeled as a reclining figure resting on an elongated bed, with the head raised upon a rounded pillow. The face is softly modeled, while the body appears enveloped in a covering that follows the length of the bed. Surviving pink painted details decorate the upper body and covering, contrasting with the pale, textured surface. A raised border frames the figure and defines the bed’s outline.
Length: 4 7/8 inches.
Condition: Visible cracks along one side and around the head and pillow, with surface wear and encrustation. Pink painted details remain present.
