Ancient Cypriot Painted Pottery Vessel
A small Cypriot pottery vessel with a rounded body tapering toward a narrow base, a gently concave neck, and a thickened, outward-flaring rim. Horizontal bands of dark brown and reddish-brown pigment encircle the shoulder and upper body, contrasting with the pale buff surface. Its compact proportions and restrained decoration give the vessel an understated elegance.
Size: 2 3/4″.
Condition: Surface wear, scattered abrasions, and areas of pigment loss, as illustrated.
