Large Colima Mahogany Obsidian Blade

An impressive Colima blade fashioned from mahogany obsidian, displaying warm reddish-brown tones interspersed with irregular black mottling. Its slender, elongated form tapers to points at both ends, while carefully worked flake scars across the surfaces reveal the craftsmanship involved in shaping the volcanic glass.
The blade’s substantial length and striking natural coloration give it a strong sculptural presence. It may have served a ceremonial or prestige function, although its specific original use remains unconfirmed.
