Pre-Columbian Maya Codex-Style Miniature “Poison Pot”
A miniature pottery vessel with a rounded body, short cylindrical neck, and raised circular foot. Black curvilinear motifs encircle the cream-colored body, framed by red-painted bands at the neck and base. The contrasting palette and flowing brushwork give this small vessel a distinctive decorative presence. Described as a “poison pot,” its original contents and specific function remain undetermined.
