Late Period, ca. 664–332 BCE

Exceptional painted linen funerary textile fragment depicting the solar barque carrying four deities, including the jackal-headed Anubis, rendered in vibrant blue, red, black, and cream pigments. Such textiles adorned mummies and funerary equipment, illustrating the deceased's journey through the afterlife under the protection of the gods.

The surviving painted decoration remains remarkably vivid, preserving the refined artistic style of Late Period Egypt. Mounted for display, this fragment is an outstanding example of ancient Egyptian funerary art.
