Description

Ancient clay oil lamp in the Hellenistic / early Roman style, wheel-made with a rounded body and central fill hole. These lamps were commonly used throughout the Eastern Mediterranean and Holy Land region during the 1st century BC–1st century AD.

This example shows surface wear, mineral deposits, and age-appropriate patina. No repairs that I can see. A classic display piece for collectors of ancient pottery and Biblical-period artifacts.
