Parthian Kingdom Silver Drachm — Vologases III (AD 105–147), Diademed Bust & Archer — Ancient Coin

An attractive silver drachm from the Parthian Kingdom, issued during the reign of King Vologases III, circa AD 105–147. The obverse shows a diademed bust of the king facing left, wearing the characteristic tall Parthian tiara and long beard. The reverse features the traditional Parthian archer seated left, surrounded by a Greek legend naming the king and his titles.

This is a classic and widely collected type from the Parthian series, representing one of the dominant powers of the ancient Near East during the Roman Imperial period. The details are well struck for the issue, with clear portrait features and readable reverse elements. Toned silver surfaces with light circulation marks typical for the age.

Weight and diameter are within the normal range for drachms of this period. A genuine ancient silver coin over 1,800 years old, suitable for both beginning and experienced collectors alike.

Provenance: Ex, Collin Koch, Small Town Coins.
